PPCLI WOs & SNR NCOs CLUB
The retired club was formed in April 1976 at Victoria, BC - The AIM, to keep alive the regimental spirit and comradeship generated in the Regimental Sergeants' Mess by Patricia WOs and Senior NCOs.
The term "Retired" being technically interpreted to read those Patricias who gained WO or Snr NCO rank whilst being affiliated with the Regiment, and/or attached personnel who served the posted strength of the Regiment as WOs and Snr NCOs. This includes WOs and Snr NCOs who were subsequently commissioned. The wives of members, by virtue of their long and faithful service are also considered an integral part of the Club and are included in the voting membership. This includes the widows of members and former Patricia WOs and Snr NCOs.
The official Club newsletter, THE PIKLEE POST published bi-annually (April and October) is sent out to all ACTIVE & SUPPORTIVE members. The newsletter keeps all members abreast of all past and future club or regimental activities. There are no dues as such. Members are requested to contribute to the postal and/or general fund - these contributions constitute the Club Lifeline - WITHOUT THEM WE WILL NOT SURVIVE. Non response to the Club's supportive needs, will, of necessity, result in a members removal from the active mailing list.
The CLUB does not solicit membership, however, we are pleased to hear from prospective members who are TRULY interested in the Club and it's aims, and who wish to PARTICIPATE. We dissuade those whose only interest may be in acquiring a card. Membership is granted on personal request ONLY - personal application avoids any misunderstanding.
